About me

I teach at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, working with talented musicians aged between 12 and 19, and at St Paul’s Girls’ School – London and Redmaids High School – Bristol, as well as in private practice in Bristol where I live. I worked on the teaching team and the auditions panel of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain for eight years.

I am a Vocal Adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals.

I have worked as a choral coach with Exultate Singers, City of Bristol Choir, Bristol Man Chorus and the Cabot Choir and was Guest Artist-in-Residence with the Spark and Ignite choirs in London.

I was a Director of the British Voice Association from 2010 – 2015, helping to devise and run training courses for singers, singing teachers, SLTs and ENTs.

My teaching is founded on my knowledge of voice health, voice science, and the anatomy, physiology and psychology of voice. I work at keeping up with current issues in technique and in voice science. I have a particular interest in the neurology of singing.

I work alongside voice health professionals in the rehabilitation of singers after voice therapy or surgery.
