" Thank you so much for being my singing teacher. I have loved having singing lessons with you - you have always made them really fun with your wicked sense of humour!  Your encouragement and teaching has continued to fire my love of singing - and I know it is certainly something which I will carry on with! "

Welcome

Hello and thank you for your interest in my work.

I am a Singing Teacher and Choral Coach.

I hope you’ll enjoy looking around here, and that you’ll find answers to any questions you may have about my teaching in the following pages.  Please feel free to contact me if you have a query.

I teach at Redmaids High School - Bristol, and at St Paul’s Girls’ School - London, as well as in private practice in Bristol.  I am a deputy teacher at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music, and have worked on the teaching team and the auditions panel of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.

I am a Vocal Adjudicator for the British and International Federation of Festivals

I have worked as a choral coach with the EXULTATE SINGERS, the City of Bristol Choir and the Cabot Choir and was Guest Artist-in-Residence with the SPARK and IGNITE choirs in London.

I was a Director of the British Voice Association from 2010 – 2015, helping to devise and run training courses for singers, singing teachers, SLTs and ENTs.

My teaching is founded on my knowledge of voice health, voice science, and the anatomy, physiology and psychology of voice.

I work alongside voice health professionals in the rehabilitation of singers after voice therapy or surgery.

Bullet Further congratulations to Nathan Harrison for his selection for the octet of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. The 8 singers chosen for the octet receive training to help their advancement in their profession as well as performance experience and a leadership role in the choir.
Well done, Nathan! More HERE on the NCYGB website

I ran the Bristol 10k in May 2017 in support of feedthehomelessBRISTOL, a charity providing hot meals and warm clothes for people sleeping on the streets in Bristol. I am on the management committee of the group. If you would like to find out more about what we do, please have a look at our website.
